“Para nosotras, la amistad en St. Jude significa tener apoyo en medio de la misma tempestad. Conocer a otras personas y sus culturas es una manera de olvidar por un momento por lo que estábamos pasando, y eso nos dio un poquito de felicidad.” — Linette, mamá de Sebastian, paciente de St. Jude (de izquierda a derecha antes de COVID19; Doris, Linette, Melissa, Nayeli, y Geraldin, amigas y mamás de St. Jude). #díainternacionaldelaamistad “Friendship at St. Jude for us means to have that support in the middle of a storm. To meet people from other cultures helps us to forget for a minute what we are going through, and that makes us happy.”- Linette, mother of St. Jude patient Sebastian (from left to right prior to COVID19; Doris, Linette, Melissa, Nayeli, y Geraldin, friends and St. Jude moms). #internationalfriendshipday
A few months after Shane and Yanin adopted their son Max - who had already lost one eye to cancer – they learned he had active tumors in his remaining eye. They turned to St. Jude for a treatment that would not only save Max's life but would also cost him his vision. Instead of focusing on his vision loss, they helped Max make colorful, bright memories he would never forget.
SWIPE FOR THE AFTER ➡️ Each year, college students from across the country travel to St. Jude to learn more about our lifesaving mission and celebrate an incredible year of fundraising. This year, things looked a little different as students logged on from home for #StJudeYOU, a virtual conference during which they raised more than $50K for the kids of St. Jude!
Each year, we welcome the women of @tridelta to the St. Jude campus to celebrate their commitment to supporting the kids of St. Jude! This year, the annual event took place virtually and included a lab tour from St. Jude physician and Tri Delta member Dr. Beth Stewart.
While we wanted to walk or run with you in person this September, we have made the decision to hold all of our 2020 St. Jude Walk/Run events virtually this year. We have some very exciting virtual events planned to ensure that we can still be together and help end childhood cancer, even when we're apart. Learn more at the link in our bio. #stjudewalkrun
